Schools

iChange Collaborative - We offer inclusivity consulting and training workshops to businesses, schools, community organizations, and government agencies.

“Transformational Inquiry relies on the unconditional premise that every student is loveable and capable of loving, and as such, every student is inherently brilliant and has a unique and important gift to offer the community.”

From Let’s Get Real: Exploring Race, Class, and Gender in the Classroom

We offer professional development programs for educators through onsite workshops with faculty and staff, individualized coaching, and a summer teaching institute.

Dynamic Dialogues: Level One

Transformational Inquiry

This interactive program addresses the imperative call to develop cultural responsiveness in school leaders, teachers and staff. Our Transformational Inquiry model introduces inclusion practices through interpersonal dialogues and experiential activities and connects best practices to emerging research in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and education. While acknowledging our common humanity, our programs inspire greater appreciation for diverse life experiences, increased ability to forge relationships across difference, and enhanced collaboration skills.

Dynamic Dialogues: Level Two

Improving School Cultures

This interactive program is designed for teachers and educational leaders committed to creating school cultures that affirm students’ humanity. This module further reinforces the communication model and scaffolding methods introduced in Dynamic Dialogues: Level One. Participants engage in identity exploration activities designed to generate profound insights into themselves, each other, and the world in which they live. A series of activities guides them through the Transformational Inquiry process – moving through the realms of self-reflection, social interaction, critical thinking, and finally, commitment to action.

Dynamic Dialogues: Level Three

Transformational Leadership

This interactive program further develops and reinforces the communication model and scaffolding methods introduced and practiced in Dynamic Dialogues: Levels One and Two. It guides participants through a process to establish and sustain a school-wide commitment to leadership in educational justice. It addresses classroom practices, curriculum design, professional development, the importance of supporting strong identities among educators, as well as students, and the process of building a critical mass of support among faculty, staff, students, families and the community.

Dynamic Dialogues

iChange Collaborative’s highly engaging method scaffolds self-reflection, social interaction, cognitive-based learning and real world action to:

Establish identity-safe classrooms

Build relationships across difference

Capitalize on cultural differences to inspire achievement

Strengthen student identities to inspire ethical leadership

Create a dynamic school culture

We expressed in our faculty meeting today that this was the best professional development training we have ever attended in a collective 40 years of teaching. Thank you Oman, Martha, and Eddy for making this experience possible. We have already found allies and are taking what we learned to the action phase.
