Race Institute for Educators

iChange Collaborative - We offer inclusivity consulting and training workshops to businesses, schools, community organizations, and government agencies.

“We need to know we are bound by something before we can be free of it.”

Darnell Moore

Racial identity impacts learning in profound ways. If you’re feeling the call to develop methods to cultivate the intelligent hearts and minds of your students, please join us for this important professional development experience.

What if the student achievement gap is actually an educator cultural competency gap?

Our empathy-based and highly interactive method introduces educators to practical and easy-to-apply methods that cultivate safe and brave learning communities.

Educators leave the Institute with renewed enthusiasm and commitment, but also with action plans and lesson plans they can put into practice immediately.

Join us to:

  • Amplify student voices through the power of story.

  • Affirm the brilliance, experiences, and identities of BIPOC students in schools.

  • Experience the power of affinity groups to build relationships that support racial healing and sustain transformation.

  • Learn to cultivate high-trust relationships across difference.

Develop Valuable Skills:

  • Nurture and strengthen healthy racial identity development in your students.

  • Teach valuable communication and critical thinking skills.

  • Counteract bias and harmful stereotypes.

  • Explore your own racial identity experience to better serve your students.

  • Develop a supportive professional community for ongoing growth and development.
